Key Words to Identify Real Trägers vs. Administrative Bodies

This guide helps you to quickly determine whether an account is a real Kita operator (Träger) or merely an administrative body like a city, Amt, or district office. It's designed to reduce incorrect associations in HubSpot and improve CRM data quality.

When you're reviewing a new account or associating a Kita to a parent Träger, it's essential to distinguish between a real Träger (operator) and an administrative or oversight body that does not operate the Kita.

Use this page as a quick reference to flag suspicious cases and avoid uploading or assigning Kitas incorrectly.

✅ Real Trägers (Likely Safe to Upload or Associate)

Look for these keywords in the name or legal suffix — they suggest operational responsibility:

  • e.V. (eingetragener Verein)

  • gGmbH

  • AWO, Caritas, Diakonie, DRK, IB, Paritätischer

  • Kirchengemeinde, Pfarrei, Diözese, Kirchenkreis, Dekanat

  • Trägerverein, Soziale Dienste

  • Names ending in specific organizations that are known childcare providers

⚠️ Flag for Review: May Not Be a Träger

These keywords may indicate the entity is only a supervisor, public funder, or administrative body — not the operator:

Administrative Bodies

  • Amt

  • Gemeinde

  • Stadt

  • Städtische

  • Landkreis

  • Bezirksamt

  • Kreisverwaltung

  • Verbandsgemeinde

  • Zweckverband

  • Jugendamt

  • Kommunale Kindertagesbetreuung

  • Verwaltungsgemeinschaft

  • Öffentliche Trägerschaft

  • Städtische Tageseinrichtungen

Example to flag: Stadt Lübeck, Amt Hüttener Berge, Gemeinde Altenholz

Educational Institutions (usually not Trägers)

  • Schule

  • Grundschule

  • Gymnasium

  • Bildungseinrichtung

  • Zentrum

  • Hort (if listed as Träger)

Generic Catch-Alls

  • Kinderbetreuung [City]

  • Kindertageseinrichtungen [Region]

  • Einrichtungsträger

  • Kinderdienst

🚦 What To Do

If you encounter one of the flagged keywords:

  • Confirm whether the account actually operates one or more Kitas.
If it does not—and instead acts as a partner, funder, or administrative body—tag it as an Affiliate and associate it to the appropriate Träger.

  • Refer to What to Do When You Find a Rogue Affiliate Account for detailed instructions.

  • If it is a confirmed Träger, you may proceed with creating the account or associating Kitas as needed.
